Dear Parishioners,

We are writing to you today in order to inform you of the retirement of Sr. Rose Federici, SSND, as our school principal at St. Peter the Apostle School. This will become effective on the last day of school in June, 2021. Sister Rose has served our children and this parish for the past 32 years and she will be greatly missed.

Sr. Rose will work with us, and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, to establish a search committee that will interview and select a new principal in the months ahead. This is sure to be a delicate time of transition for Sr. Rose and for the new leadership coming in. Sr. Rose has left a great legacy here at our school. Therefore, we plan to honor her and the many contributions she has made to our Catholic school with a celebration at the end of the year. We thank all of our parents and students for your continued support and cooperation as the faculty and staff make preparations for this important transition in the spring and throughout the summer.

May the Lord continue to bless and guide Sr. Rose as she pens the next chapter of her religious life and pastoral service to the church and to the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

Les escribimos hoy para informarles de la jubilación de la Hna. Rose Federici, SSND, como directora de nuestra escuela San Pedro Apóstol. Su retiro entrará en vigencia el último día de clases en junio de 2021. La hermana Rose ha servido a nuestros niños y a esta parroquia durante los últimos 32 años y la extrañaremos mucho.

La Hna. Rose trabajará con nosotros y la Arquidiócesis de Filadelfia para establecer un comité que buscará, entrevistará y seleccionará a un/a nuevo/a director/a en los próximos meses. Este será sin duda un momento delicado de transición para la Hna. Rose y para el nuevo liderazgo que está entrando. La Hna. Rose ha dejado un gran legado aquí en nuestra escuela. Por lo tanto, planeamos honrarla a ella y las muchas contribuciones que ha hecho a nuestra escuela católica con una celebración al final del año. Agradecemos a todos nuestros padres y estudiantes por su continuo apoyo y cooperación mientras el profesorado y el personal se preparan para esta importante transición en la primavera y durante el verano.

Que el Señor continúe bendiciendo y guiando a la Hna. Rose mientras escribe el próximo capítulo de su vida religiosa y servicio pastoral a la iglesia y a las Hermanas de la Escuela de Notre Dame.
