Dear Parishioners:
St. Peter The Apostle Church Catholic community, wish to extend our sincerest congratulations to Isabella Clark, who was the recipient of this year’s Connelly Foundation Scholarship to attend a Catholic high school of her choice. “Izzy” has been with us here at St. Peter the Apostle School since the first grade. I have watched her grow and mature as a person, as she grew physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have taught her and her other five siblings in class and in extracurricular activities as well. We are so proud that Isabella has been given this honor and wish her all the very best in the days ahead as she continues to develop into the kind, loving, and talented young lady she is becoming!
In addition, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Victor Torres, Jr. As he was just recently accepted to Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Holy Cross was one of the top three colleges that I was going to attend after graduating from high school. That is, before I made the final decision to enter into the Redemptorist Seminary, Saint Alphonsus College, located in Suffield, Connecticut. Victor hopes to major in English in theater. Victor is a graduate of St. Peter the Apostle School and he will often serve as a cantor for us in our Sunday masses and on special occasions. Congratulations to you and your family Victor, we couldn’t be more proud of you and your accomplishments!
Finally, we wish to thank all of those who joined us for our recent trip to Sight and Sound theater for the production of “Moses“. The quality of the productions there in Ephrata are really quite impressive and on a technology level, give Broadway a run for his money. The group immediately attended the sit down and all you can eat dinner where they enjoyed some good home cooked food and table fellowship. We work hard to design and organize trips that will be informative and enjoyable and faith-filled for our parishioners to share together as a community. So many of our more recent events have sold out quickly, and we are glad that people can come together as the extended family of St. Peter The Apostle Church. Enjoy these community building activities and get to know each other a little better. I would like to express my gratitude to Jannine Malave, my assistant and to our parish secretaries, Kimberly Piedra, and Eneida Davila. They work so hard behind the scenes to make sure that quality events and gatherings can be enjoyed by the entire parish, and I want to express to them my sincerest thanks. May God bless you and your family this whole Easter season!
